A Roadheader is a mechanized underground excavation machine used for driving roadways, tunnels, and galleries in coal or rock formations without drilling and blasting.
It cuts the rock or coal using a rotating cutting head mounted on a movable boom, and the broken material is collected and loaded onto a conveyor system.
